Hi, my name is Brian Mattix. I'm an online journalist with web design experience.

Words can bring the world to us. Pictures and video allow us to explore and experience more of the world. Online, anyone can explore and experience all the world offers with the click of a button.

An online and broadcast journalist for more than 12 years, I have used my experience to learn as much as I can about the world and bring it to my audience through words, video, coding and social media. From writing news articles, to editing video clips, or creating a javascript-powered graphic tool, even a simple retweet...being an online journalist requires one to wear many hats at one time.

Other interests: photography, cooking, travel and language. I have taken Spanish in school, learned a tiny amount of Italian last year, currently reading up on Mandarin.
